Janet Rowe started beekeeping in the 1950s with her father in the fruit orchard on the family dairy farm. In 1982 she started keeping Bees in Texas. She attended the masters in beekeeping school at the University of Nebraska. For the last several years she and her husband Jim were beekeeping on a larger scale by shipping bees out of state for pollination and honey production. Janet has been a member of local state and national beekeeping organizations and has been a Texas Master Gardener since 2003.
